About Us

At A Bright Beginning Child Care Society, we have extensive experience in caring for children in your community. Our reputation has been built on the quality of our childcare services and level of personalized care we offer. In addition, our educational programs offer your child the opportunity to learn age appropriate tasks and we encourage creativity through play and structured activities.

We believe that a child’s first few years are very important to set the foundation for future learning and social skills. Our trained childcare specialists are mandated to keep abreast of new approaches, techniques and learning methods to better provide for your child.

A Bright Beginning Child Care Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality care for children. We invite you to tour any of our locations, preferably in the morning.

Waitlist Application

All of our programs are currently full. To fill out a waitlist application:

1. Click on the “Waitlist” tab at the top of our website.
2. Choose the application for either Early Years or School Age.
3. Complete the appropriate form and click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of the application.

Locations and Age Groups

• Avondale Location: 

  • Early Years Program: Ages 12 months to 5 years (before kindergarten).
  • ABC Busy Bee School Age Program: Ages 5-9.

• Roy Bickell & Ecole Montrose Locations: Care provided for children aged 5-9 (kindergarten up to Grade 4). Our Ecole Montrose location also provides out-of-school care for students in the Ecole Montrose Pre-K program.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 7:00AM – 6:00 PM

Educational Approach

Our Centre has adopted the Flight Framework, which emphasizes:

• Observations and documentation based on children’s interests.
• Creating experiences and environments that support holistic development.
• The environment acts as the “Third Teacher,” fostering a sense of belonging.
• Learning stories showcase evidence of children’s learning, available on the Storypark app.

Parent Involvement

All parents in any of the three programs are encouraged to join the parent board.
